I’m a user experience designer, currently completing my last year at Rice University for a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree.
As an architecture major, I am constantly exploring the human-centered side of design– creating spaces that directly affect the occupants and optimizing positive interactions between humans and their environment.
Why did I choose UX instead? Architecture brought me to UX because empathy and innovation truly lie at the core of the UX design process. The stages of iterating, re-iterating, and conducting user testing that are involved in UX allow design to become more responsive and adaptable to fit what users need. Furthermore, I love incorporating my visual design skills in a functional way in order to make an impact on people’s lives.
During my free time I like to spend long hours oil painting and sketching trees!
